This past weekend was a wonderful celebration of being ourselves, enjoying our identities, and immersing ourselves in the joy of our bodies, that feeling of Gender Euphoria.
Transgender artists from Elora to London, Beamsville to Cambridge, Hamilton to Guelph, fifty eight individuals in all, participated in our first Paint Pour Party. While it was a great event, it was not without problems. We forgot to send the email out for the 18+ party until 20 minutes before the event. And even then, some people missed out because of faulty systems implemented to send emails in batches. We reached out to those affected, sent emails to offer suggestions on how to do what we had done during our event, and chalked it down to first-time mistakes (which won't be repeated). We've committed to having a staff member to deal with last-minute messages asking for information, and also learning how to use a system like MailChimp properly. For all of you who participated, thank you for joining us! For those who are seeing these paintings that were created during our event, and would like to learn more about having an event for your community, please use the contact form on our Contact us page.
